Windgate Farms Wedding

I am so in love with Judson and Allie’s Windgate Farms Wedding in Jasper, Alabama. This venue is a hidden gem tucked away in a small town outside of Birmingham. Although I am a Birmingham photographer, my home base is in Jasper, so I loved shooting so close to home and definitely hope I get to shoot at Wingate Farms again. I think every local bride should consider this venue because it was that gorgeous!

The invitation suite turned out so beautiful with a pretty, icy blue for the color. You can tell just how much thought and creativity Allie put into these invitations. Usually, I would use my styling kit to photograph the wedding details, but Allie did this all on her own. The ring boxes were personalized, and she even surprised Judson with his grandfather’s ring on the ceremony day. It was a such a thoughtful sentiment and a gestureI know Judson will remember forever.

Judson and Allie are the epitome of two people in love. They are actually middle school sweethearts and have been in each other’s lives since seventh and eighth grade. It just doesn’t get sweeter than that. After all this time, they are still more in love than just about any couple I have ever seen!
When you look at these two, you can just tell how in love they are and much they want to make each other happy. It’s truly endearing to watch.

The venue was truly breathtaking with its scenic overlook and was the perfect place for Judson and Allie to recite vows before family and friends. Although, they did not do a first look, they chose to take a few moments before the ceremony and read letters with their backs to each other. It was an emotional few minutes, but of course on the happiest of tears.

The ceremony took place before sunset and the colors in the sky were completely dreamy and seemed to have been planned just for Judson and Allie. Each of them were doing a good job holding it together but when Allie walked down the aisle, those happy tears came right back for an emotional beginning to the ceremony which are only the best kinds of beginnings.

Allie and Judson finished their portraits followed by the bridal party joined them for more photos. The ceremony began and the newlyweds were absolutely glowing. They danced their first dance as husband and wife to Ed Sheeran’s song- Perfect. I could not think of a more appropriate song. I mean the line, “We were just kids when we fell in love.” I cannot even handle the cuteness of these two. If I had to sum up the day in one word, it honestly was perfect so this song was just the icing on the cake.

Judson entertained the crowd with a song and what started off as a sweet dance with his mom ended in a perfectly choreographed number. They must have put hours into this dance and it turned out so perfect. Everyone was genuinely so happy and I’m sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the house after this touching day. I hope my kids witness this type of love not only from their parents, but in their own lives. And if they ever ask me what love like that looks like, I will tell them about Judson and Allie.
