This season has been such a busy but rewarding time for EMP and I have so much still to share with y’all! Andrew and Madalyn had a Railroad Park Engagement session at the end of November right in the height of Thanksgiving and the hustle and bustle of the holiday, but they made each other a priority and made sure to document this special time in their relationship. After all, being engaged comes and goes so quickly that it should be a time to cherish and enjoy.
Their session was timed perfectly because it was one of the last days we saw fall color here in Alabama. We started at Railroad Park where the leaves were still so pretty and fall was totally still in the air. As I’m typing this, winter has pretty much taken over so it’s nice to reminisce over all these beautiful pictures!
Andrew and Madalyn are such a fun couple and I can’t get over how cute they are together! Literally a match made in heaven. I’m currently obsessing over her sweater dress and boots that she chose for the first part of our session at Railroad Park. It was the perfect outfit choice.
Madalyn told me she couldn’t wait to read this blog post because she knew I was going to mention her nail. 😂 Yep, I have to. It kept popping off during the session and was totally NOT cooperating with us. The things my brides have to go through to get a good picture…no one has time for a nail malfunction, but Madalyn has a good attitude through it all. 😆
At the end of the day, I think the only thing anybody would notice when looking at these close up images is Madalyn’s ring. I’m in LOVE. I have never photographed a ring quite like this! It is a rare beauty and it fits Madalyn and her personality perfectly. 😍
I have to commend Andrew too. He went to University of Alabama and of course, the Iron Bowl kickoff was almost at the exact same time as their engagement session. He was such a good sport and did not complain one time! That’s true love. 😜 Although he wanted to watch the game, he had it recorded and it totally helped that his team won!
I just love this spot under this vibrant fall tree. I’m so glad we chose this spot and again, we picked the perfect day because these pretty leaves are all gone now. Madalyn is absolutely stunning, am I right?!
After finishing up at Railroad Park, we headed over to the Parking Deck in Downtown Birmingham. Although fall sunsets come much quicker than summer, we got every shot that we needed of these two and the colors of the sky were gorgeous. I loved the pop of red color in these pictures and of course, the Redmond Hotel in the background is always one of my favorites. I love everything about Birmingham and this particular location is so classy and I’m totally here for it.
Andrew and Madalyn are getting married next September and their fall wedding will be absolutely perfect! I love this bride and groom-to-be and how fun and laid back they were. Even Andrew was totally flexible and completely fine with missing his game for the sake of the session, and it was totally worth it. I cannot wait to shoot their wedding next fall and to work with these two again. ❤️
