Rob and Nikki: Downtown Tuscaloosa Engagement

This Downtown Tuscaloosa engagement session was a special one! Nikki and Rob are my first couple that were photographed by my new associate photographer, Reagan. They will be getting married in July of 2022, and I know Reagan is thrilled to be able to shoot her first wedding with Emily McIntyre Photography. Not to mention, she did a fantastic job at their engagement shoot.

Nikki and Rob celebrated this new chapter with a downtown Tuscaloosa engagement session. They are both from out west, Nikki from Nevada, and Rob from Washington State, but we are officially welcoming them to the great state of Alabama and couldn’t be more happy to have them.

Although I specialize in the Birmingham area, a change of scenery is always fun and exciting so I was happy that Reagan lives over in Tuscaloosa, and could easily meet Nikki and Rob where they live. With the busyness of life, professional pictures is not something Nikki and Rob have done a lot of in the past, so this Tuscaloosa engagement session was the perfect way to kick off all of the necessary wedding events.

Nikki and Rob started off in Capitol Park in downtown Tuscaloosa. Their chemistry together was absolutely endearing as you could so plainly see the love they have for one another. I love this little nook they found at Capitol Park! It was the perfect little spot for a few sweet moments between these two love birds. Side note: they are absolutely hilarious and were both dying laughing. This is the kind of love people read about, folks. They just seem to have that goofy sense of humor and it shows through the lens.

Nikki’s ring is absolutely stunning and I’m so excited that Reagan was able to get some beautiful shots of it during the shoot. I mean, just look at this beauty! After they were finished at Capitol Park, they headed over to Manderson Landing, frequently called the Riverwalk. The sky was gorgeous. It’s not every day that you get to see blues and yellows in the sunset, so I was totally loving all the colors in these photos.

Nikki was just glowing and the love and joy that she and Rob share is so obvious. Isn’t that what life is all about? Everyone needs a person to share all of life’s moments with. Someone that makes laughter an every day occurrence. Someone that even after five years together with long distance and stressful life circumstances, still makes your heart skip a beat. It’s out there guys. Don’t settle.

I cannot wait for these two to tie the knot in July so we can see more of them. Even though they live in Tuscaloosa, they will be having a Birmingham wedding. Stay tuned for all the details from their upcoming summer wedding!
