Downtown Tuscaloosa Wedding

This sweet bride and groom met through a mutual friend in downtown Birmingham which started a modern-day Urban love story. Once they met, the rest was history because they haven’t stopped talking since. Anyone else a fan of love at first sight? πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈΒ After a beautiful engagement at the Redmont Hotel in Birmingham, AL, the wedding planning began!

Emily got ready at her aunt’s house and everything about the way she looked was perfect. Her dusty blue + sage color combo had me swooning and I think it’s one of my favorite combos yet!

Emily is from Tuscaloosa and Heath from Birmingham, They are both die-hard Auburn fans so we tried, for the most part, to stay away from the University of Alabama campus. However, the Capstone Hotel was almost too good to pass up for their bridal party photos and first look. I assured them this does not change their love for Auburn in any way. 😜

In the words of Emily herself, Heath is loving and attentive. He saw to her every need and made her feel like a princess on their special day. I know it is a dream of every girl to feel they way Emily did on her wedding day.

The timeline of Emily and Heath’s wedding day was literally perfect. Even though we had a tiny bit of rain, we were able to find a covered walkway to take some photos until the rain passed. Once the skies were clear, the rain was done for the rest of the evening and we got all the pretty photos. 😍

The ceremony took place at the Cultural Art Center which totally made sense with the urban vibe Emily and Heath were going for. Since they fell in love downtown, and got engaged downtown, it only made sense for them to tie the knot downtown as well. I love how that theme made its way through their journey and ended with the perfect downtown wedding.

Emily and Heath had a sparkler exit to their getaway we were able to steal a picture through the back window of the groom kissing his bride. 🀍
Overall, the Vendor list was fabulous and the support from family and friends was endearing and told a story of how loved Emily and Heath really are. To love and to be loved are two of life’s greatest gifts. Our only job is to witness that love, be grateful for it, and spread it like wildfire.

Emily and Heath, may you live the longest, happiest, and most fulfilling life together. May you pass along the love you’ve been given to those more unfortunate than you and may you cherish your great love forever. Thanks for allowing me to be your Tuscaloosa Wedding photographer!
