Fall Birmingham Engagement Session

It’s always a good day when you get to spend sometime outdoors in the fall season. This year in Alabama, the weather has been absolutely perfect for fall Birmingham engagement sessions. There has been less rain and more color in the sunsets than usual. A few weeks ago, I met up with Shayne and Tori at Railroad Park to celebrate their engagement. It was at the beginning of our fall season and the leaves were finally starting to show some color after a long, hot summer.

Let me just say, this was the PERFECT fall session. I love love loved Shayne and Tori’s sweaters and the mix of greens and oranges during October are just so dreamy. I think Southern girls have learned to appreciate fall colors more than most people know. The summers can be brutal, but the cooler temperatures have everyone in high spirits.

The lighting was amazing during our session and with the leaves showing off in the background, it was what fall dreams are made of. 😍 Everything was so pretty! Shayne and Tori will be married in October of 2022 and I hope their wedding has these same fall vibes this time next year.

From Railroad Park, we headed off to the parking deck in Downtown Birmingham for a few romantic rooftop pictures because it doesn’t get any better than that! Shayne and Tori are so laid back and such a fun couple. Tori’s ring is absolutely stunning. I couldn’t resist getting a few shots of its unique details and think it is one of the prettiest rings I have ever seen!

I got to chat with Shayne and Tori a bit and learned that they actually met at UAB Hospital in Birmingham at the OR where they both work. After working together for a while, they totally hit it off and the rest is history. Although working separate shifts might not be as glamorous as you see on tv shows, Shayne and Tori are modern-day heroes and the fact they fell in love there makes it that much more special and a piece of their unique story.

They were both so comfortable and affectionate with each other and it totally shows in each image. We caught a beautiful sunset on the parking deck before we lost the light for the evening. I feel like I have know these two forever because of their kindness and down-to-earth personalities. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for these two and to be a part of their special day in October.
