William and Mary Clyde: Engagement Session at Private Estate

William and Mary Clyde got engaged earlier this summer on William’s Aunt and Uncle’s estate. He lives in a house behind it so it is his home too and the perfect place to start their engagement shoot. This engagement session at a private estate was beautiful! They will have a Birmingham, AL wedding in the spring and I’m over the moon excited to document their special day on camera.

This first location is actually the exact spot where they got engaged. William had a table there and it was decorated beautifully for their engagement so I thought it was so special that they wanted this little spot to continue to be a part of their love story.

We continued to walk around the property for some more shots and spent a lot of time under this beautiful arch. This estate is filled with little pockets of beauty and hidden gems. It is a gorgeous place and I couldn’t have thought of a better way to start this engagement session.

The weather has been amazing with seventy degree days and perfect sunsets. It was another fabulous day for a shoot in Alabama, and I’m so glad we took advantage of this perfect location. It is different than where I normally shoot so of course I was all about it.

We continued the day at Birmingham Botanical Gardens, and although it’s crowded on Saturdays, it wasn’t too bad and we were able to get every single shot we were hoping for.

William and Mary Clyde are quiet and absolutely so sweet with each other. William kept complimenting Mary Clyde on how beautiful she looked and how much he loved her outfit. You can definitely tell how much he adores her and it is endearing to watch.

What makes your love story special? Whether it’s a piece of land, an item of sentimental value, a memory, or even a song, I think it’s so important to incorporate those little elements into your relationship. It doesn’t have to follow a trend and it doesn’t have to be extravagant. Your love story is unique and special because it’s unlike any other.
