Southside Baptist Engagement Session

Hunter and McKenzie are getting married next summer at Oak Island, a gorgeous venue here in Alabama, and let me tell you- these two are going to be one stunning bride and groom. They are such a model couple and I am honored to be their Birmingham AL Wedding Photographer

Hunter and McKenzie had a beautiful Southside Baptist engagement session in Birmingham, AL where I had done another engagement session right before with a bride named McKenna. I honestly mixed up their names a few times because their names are so similar-plus they look alike! I found out that they actually attend UAB together and have all the same classes because they are both teaching majors. At least I’m not the only one to mix their names up. They told me their teachers do it all the time!

McKenzie’s dress for the engagement session was so classy and I absolutely loved it on her. Isn’t she stunning? We had pre-planned our locations for this shoot with no rain on the forecast, and of course, it had to rain the first few minutes, but thankfully there was a covered porch at the church and we all stayed dry.

After we finished at the church, Hunter, McKenzie and I headed over to Railroad Park. I love it there this time of year because the grass turns a pinkish color and stays that way all throughout November. The colors of the grass were perfect with McKenzie’s champagne colored dress and I just love how unique it is.

Hunter was cracking us up and making McKenzie laugh the whole time by tickling her or making jokes. Their love is so infectious and adorable to anyone that is around them and it is truly endearing to watch.

Once we made it to the other side of the park, we realized that the leaves were really starting to change. Here in Alabama, we don’t always get much of a fall so we take what we can get. I thought the leaves looked so pretty and we even got some beautiful shots of the ring with some colorful leaves. The day ended with a pretty sunset and some of the most perfect images from these two.
