As a Birmingham Photographer, one of my favorite downtown places to shoot is on Morris Avenue. So I met Kendyll and Dakotah at Heidi Elnora Atelier which was so fitting, because Kendyll just became “the Face” for the Fall Collection at Build a Bride in Birmingham!
I am so happy for her, and cannot wait to see the fall collection! Build a Bride Birmingham also has Alabama Hannah Brown (you Bachelor/Bachelorette fans know 🌹😉 ) as a brand ambassador, so you can see why this is a great opportunity and a big deal for Kendyll.
Kendyll is a Birmingham fashion blogger. She is the sweetest, kindest person you will meet. Kendyll has great style which you can see more of on her instagram. She also uses the “Like to Know It” app which is great because everything is linked, so it is very easy to find! Kendyll is very busy and loves to travel. You can see some of her travels and read about them on her blog.
Dakotah is an absolute sweetheart! Kendyll definitely found a keeper when she met him. Dakotah kept me and Kendyll feeling safe the entire session! He was also up for anything, and never complained a bit when I suggested some different posing. Most guys aren’t keen on taking pictures in the first place, let alone some of the prompts I gave, but Dakotah did it all, and without a single complaint or fuss.
Kendyll and Dakotah are so great together. I had a blast photographing them. They are so sweet too! We started our session on Morris Avenue, but wanted to head over to Railroad Park for some pictures too. We got some gorgeous sunset pictures there! The sun was pretty much gone, when we ended our session. I had parked all the way down on the other side of the park, and they walked me back to my car to make sure I got to it safely. They also gave me so many great tips on locations and just general advice about Birmingham. I am thankful for all their help and advice. I love that they were one of my first couples to get me started as a Birmingham photographer!
